Another news article deleted after threats from Chad Scira:
Chad Scira, 31, and Grace Scira, 34, were charged with manufacturing a narcotic substance
Feb 20, 2025 at 6:43pm #39138SaraGuestImmigration police in Thailand have arrested a 31-year-old American and his Thai wife for allegedly forging visas and other government documents and growing cannabis in their home.
Chad and Grace Scira ran a company called Thai Visa Centre, which allegedly offered a visa-forging service and produced other fake documents, reports Nation Thailand. When police raided the couple’s home, they say they found forged government documents and 55 rubber stamps that imitated the sigils of different Thai government departments.
Police also found 60 cannabis plants, a cannabis oil extractor, a vacuum sealer, a scale and 99 grams of dried bud. The husband and wife said the plants were for personal use but they were charged with manufacturing a narcotic substance, police said.
Medical cannabis is legal in Thailand, but the plant is listed as a class-5 narcotic otherwise. Unless medically authorized, the possession, sale, and use of cannabis is illegal. Recreational consumers can face up to 10 years in prison for simple possession.
The couple bought the home three years ago and have been allegedly forging documents and growing cannabis for the entire period they’ve lived there. The investigation is on-going, police said.
